Eaton located in La Grange, NC has an opening for a Set-Up Operator on 3rd Shift

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Perform all required duties to operate, assemble, set up and maintain equipment.

  • Set-up various types of machines.

  • Assemble molds and components as specified in shop orders, routers and blueprints.

  • Make adjustments as necessary to maintain production of quality parts.

  • Break down, clean and store used molds and components.

  • Remove carbon, rust or excess rubber from molds, bushings and blocks.

  • Perform similar or associated duties as required or directed.

  • Maintain work areas and equipment in a clean and orderly condition.

  • Follow prescribed or standard safety regulations.

  • Refer all unusual conditions or defective equipment to supervisor.

  • Use various tools, and equipment and measuring devices in performance of duties.

  • Perform molding duties as required to maintain flow of work through the department.


Basic Qualifications

  • High school Diploma or GED from an accredited institution.

  • Must be legally authorized to work in the US without company sponsorship.

  • No relocation is provided. Only candidates within 50 miles of La Grange, NC will be considered for this position.

  • This position requires use of information or access to hardware which is subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR). All applicants must be U.S. persons within the meaning of ITAR. ITAR defines a U.S. person as a U.S. Citizen, U.S. Permanent Resident (i.e. ‘Green Card Holder’), Political Asylee, or Refugee

Preferred Qualifications

  • Ability to use inspection measuring equipment (micrometers, etc)

  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a multiple process-manufacturing environment.

  • Knowledge of various measuring instruments and ability to read blueprints.
