How Will You Make an Impact?
The Manager, Operations Finance manages the product costing and master data activities for finance.
What will you do?
Provides leadership to assigned staff by performing the following: leading organizational change; developing and empowering staff; cultivating relationships; putting staff in a position to succeed, meeting their personal career goals while also achieving organizational goals; building effective teams that apply their diverse skills and perspectives to achieve common goals; driving engagement and creating a climate where staff are motivated to do their best.
Manages product costing process for new & existing products. Results to be measured based on timeliness and number of corrections required.
Partners with Industrial Engineering and Production to determine reasonable and accurate production standards to ensure proper valuation of inventory (standard product cost). Partners with IE on ideas for reducing costs and production times.
Leads continuous improvements of reporting and analysis on variances to standard cost.
Collaborates with Operations Controller in the development of Cost Analyst performance plans. Provides direction and guidance to Cost Analysts in the performance of their job duties.
Leads budgeting and forecast coordination and reporting for the Site working directly with the Business Segment Finance Directors.
Prepares and coordinates all site level management reporting and analysis, including monthly and quarterly bridges.
Works directly with PPI leads to validate and report value capture on project trackers. Coordinates and validates all reported PPI savings.
Performs analysis linking operational activities with their financial impact and suggest to management ideas on related actionable improvements.
Initiates actions to improve business supporting and business management tools (systems, procedures, instructions, formats, performance indicators, etc.).
Performs as FICO Key User Coordinator
How will you get there?
- Bachelor’s degree is required. MBA and CPA/CMA a strong plus.
Strong finance experience within a high volume manufacturing environment
Demonstrated experience consolidation of financial reports and forecasting
Iventory Management and standard cost analysis experience
Ability to identify and validate cost savings through Practical Process Improvement initiatives
Strong SAP/Hyperion and advanced Excel skills
Pharma experience a plus
Familiarity with a variety of concepts, practices and procedures.
Outstanding attention to detail and organizational skills.
Self-starter, mature, independent and dependable. Ability to work in a fast paced environment under pressure, able to multi-task and is results-oriented.
Demonstrates ability to maintain a high degree of confidentiality. Effective time management and prioritization skills.
Requires discretion and independent judgment.
Very high degree of interpersonal skills to establish and maintain effective working relationships with employees and the public, including tact to handle sensitive matters.
